Your area of responsibility
- Design, implementation and deployment of new applications with Java based on Oracle DB or Microsoft SQL Server and Linux or Windows Server
- Maintenance and further development of existing applications
- Creating analyses and concepts for new technologies and applications
- Technical support
Your profile
- Successful completion of a scientific degree (e.g. IT), IT training or comparable knowledge
- Knowledge of the common techniques and methods of modern software engineering, design patterns and their routine application
- Knowledge of software development tool applications (e.g. Eclipse, Ant)
- Confident use of Java in software development
- Basics in HTML, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, SQL are beneficial
- Success-oriented, independent and structured work approach as well as commitment and high dedication to perform
- Knowledge of logistical processes is an advantage

- Support and further development of existing applications

The apprenticeship
- IT specialists specializing in application development develop and program software for their own company or for customer companies.
- For example, they expand in-house programs or develop new solutions that are tailored to their own operational needs or customer requirements.
- They install software applications, put them into operation and, if necessary, instruct users on how to use them. Regular updates and maintenance, IT support and, if necessary, consulting services (e.g. regarding IT security issues) can also be part of your area of responsibility

- IT specialists – system integration are responsible for ensuring that many wheels in the IT area mesh: IT specialists specializing in system integration plan and configure IT systems.
- As a service provider in-house or at the customer’s, they set up these systems according to customer requirements and operate or manage them. This also includes, when malfunctions occur, they systematically isolate and correct errors using expert and diagnostic systems.
- You advise internal and external users on the selection and use of devices and solve application and system problems. They also create system documentation and conduct training for users.
